Oil on canvas, 60 x 60 cms cms. Part of a series of paintings and prints entitled Somme Landscapes and inspried by a visit the the First World War battlefields of the Somme. The three helmets were part of a stash of wartime archeological finds at the back of a storeroom in a tiny museum in the town of Albert in The Somme Department of France.
