CELEBRATING THE WORLDWIDE PRINTMAKING EVENT – PRINT DAY IN MAY
Print Day in May is an online event where printmakers across the world are invited to make a print on 1st May and submit it to an online exhibition.

After a year in lockdown and having to print at home, the adult printmakers based at Kite Studios decided that, as well as participating, they would come together to celebrate this event by engaging with the public and supporters of Kite. They will be exhibiting original hand pulled prints including etchings, collagraphs, drypoint, lino, woodcut, monoprint and even silkscreen; the range is wide and exciting. They will also be available to explain different printmaking techniques, how they usually work and how they have been making
prints without access to the studio presses. There will be quality framed prints for sale, many unframed works at 50% discount as well as handmade cards.

THE ARTISTS are Missy Curry, Sally Grumbridge, Emily Marbach, Kate Noakes, Emilia Radlinska, Lucy Strathon, Beata Tymczyna, Susan Warren.

So that the event will be totally Covid safe, the sale will take place in the open but covered entrance to Kite Studios in Bassein Park Road, off the Askew Road in Shepherd’s Bush. Numbers will be limited to six at a time and masks will be required.
