Reflections 1 - The Journey revisited (2010) oil on canvas 60 x 80 cms

A series of three paintings, based on designs that I originally made for a proposed commission for Charing Cross Hospital in 2001 called 'The Journey', they consider three stages of the cancer 'journey': diagnosis, treatment and beyond. Following my own personal experience of breast cancer, I thought it would be interesting to revisit the original designs and make new paintings, having been on that journey myself at that very hospital.
